I’ve missed your very thoughtful and heartfelt reflections Alis. I realised just two days ago that I hadn’t received anything and that unsettled me. Now I understand why. Thank you for sharing your learning. Always useful

It's touching and humbling to know my silence was noticed and these thoughts are helpful in some way. Deep gratitude for all the work you're doing in turn, Clare. Together, we move forward!

I recognise myself in many of the experiences you describe, Alis. I felt the same fear and hopelessness about what powerful leaders are doing to the world and how their actions impact our lives, making us feel small and insignificant. Then, as a result of an unwanted political event end of last year, I remembered that in my own life, it was thanks to major disruptive events that I resurfaced—more resilient, more accepting, more compassionate toward myself and others, and more of everything I believed makes a good human. But first, I had to sink—and sink deep. Now, I think that as a human society, we are going through one of those periods. We were sinking for a long time, and we have sunk deep, but we will resurface stronger. I truly believe that, like a phoenix, we will rise from the ashes—renewed, ready to live through another cycle of better humanity.

@alis I am always so inspired by Shambala Warrior teaching, and reading this time gives me chill as I am in the midst of doing the seemingly mind-less work of job application - i had to remind myself that this work of being aware - doing what's needed even if it is tedious form filling - is the work.

Thank you!

I have really enjoyed learning from you from far!

Indeed this IS the work, Khuyen! Good luck finding a role that fulfils you and how amazing you’ve found a way to turn the tedious process into soulful practice!

Hi Alis (Good morning from this side of the globe),

I have to admit, this was the most awaited article from your side for me (by the way, you reached 42 articles already since you started the community, like a full marathon…in average one article/every three weeks, however this one took more than double….my meaning out of this - probably there was a little bit more under the hood to be absorbed via your Method, but for sure the same is with the resulted wisdom in the process).

Thank You for bringing so much clarity in your message, to me it offered such a deeper perspective than the one I was able to reach doing a similar process. 🙏

Your co-na(t)ive dreamer,

Silviu

P.S.

As you know, something similar happens in your country of origin, as it happens world wide and in your two previous articles focused on US.

Another explanation I was learning is the following - This is the “disaster” before the profound humanity over the coning 40-50 years. And this learning is coming feom two of my colleagues at the office, also in the category of “naive dreamers”.

Let’s say what we in this community are

doing can be considered under the umbrella of “Human Engineering”.

My colleagues are focused on Human Design - and according with the Planets and Cosmos energies, starting with November last year a nee era begun… but before the global calm to be in place, the status quo should be broken with a huge storm, and now we assist at this phase. At least this is their belief and what Human Design and Planet are saying. It seems there is a lot available on the web about this.

The brand of one of the colleagues is here: https://designuman.ro/

Wish you Alis and entire community a lot of wisdom and clarity in the growing process

I hope we weather this storm together, Silviu, and manage to co-build something better on the other side. Or if not, at least manage to make the world a slightly kinder place, wherever we are. Thank you for your efforts - the matter!

What a great way to explain perspective taking in these dark days! I feel I can come back and read this article every time I feel helpless. Thank you Alis!

Alis! What a poignant and tender article! There's so much to reflect on, but I'd like to focus on Liz Gilbert's challenge of the "purposeful life’ - understood as the idea that each person has to have some higher purpose, a unique talent or calling that they must discover, hone to perfection, turn into a lucrative profession and use to build a legacy for themselves."

It's useful to distinguish between the ego's purpose—a fixed, rigid, glorifying, and overblown sense of control that wants to be monetized or seek external validation—and the Unique Self's purpose, which is the unique set of allurements that guide your life, that arise out of the dynamic intersection of your unique perspective, quality of presence, ever-clarifying desires, and gifts in your circle of intimacy and influence.

You so beautifully illustrated the process of going from ego, to Essence, to Unique Self... when you could be present to your experience, you could rest in Essence which is the Field itself that holds you. The Field alchemized these contractions and led you to come out the other side with a deeper wisdom and compassion, a deeper sense of what's YOURs to do.

Because ultimately, each of us is meant to give our unique gifts in our unique circle of intimacy and influence—no more, no less. And since we are all connected in a unified Field, our actions ripple out in some mysterious way that we could never fully understand.

I wonder how that resonates?

Thank you, Alis! You are not alone in this, that's for sure. I sometimes like to dream about going to a far away place, like Australia, or New Zeland, where nothing of this (late) world can touch me. Thanks for reminding me that my soul is everywhere, the same, and that it is connected to so many beautiful souls around ❤️

So grateful for this thoughtful piece and vulnerability. As always, so much great perspectives to think about, absorb, re-read, and re-incorporate into what we all feel in this tumultuous beginning of 2025. Thank you for you.

This resonates for me in so many ways. The sense of hopelessness, worry, and fear, which can be explored in various ways, yet ultimately curiosity and the question "what is this experience trying to tell me?" have been the most helpful responses to me over the years. And we need this more than ever. Thank you for this meaningful and connective writing, Alis.
